Right hand side is visible and i can navigate through all page by guess. All formats ePub, TXT or pdf can be accessed. The problem persists even after u shut down the ebook. The black smudges remain visible though they tend to become less dark. Ouch, riverdale, that's a pity. It sounds to me like you have a faulty screen. The smearing must make it unusable to start with, but if the smearing remains to some degree even after the device is switched off, I'd say the component that regulates the electrical charge to the screen which is what determines which pixels go dark and which go light has failed or become corrupted.

I'd guess this is going to need hardware service or replacement - it's unfortunate that you're in another country from where it was bought. I don't think it's necessarily going to fix it, but have you tried a complete reset of the machine? Chargers and Cables. Iphone Case. Iphone Replacement Screens. Google Phone Tablet Screen. HTC Tablet Screen. Motorola Tablet Screen. Microsoft Tablet Screen. What a disappointment!! To my knowledge there is no way that I could have damaged the screen.

I replied to McCoy saying that I would not throw good money after bad. Maybe, you can learn from my experience with iRiver Story. If it goes faulty, the chances are they will say it is a customer related fault, even though you registered the unit.

Who wrote this ullage? Was given a iRiver Cover Story as a birthday present recently and all I can say thus far is that how did I manage without it before.

I have had problems in the past marrying some electronic devices to an iMac computer. Had anyone got this eReader working on an apple machine.
